DFM D differential fuel flow meter is designed for measuring diesel fuel consumption in fuel lines of vehicles and stationary engines, and is used as part of GPS vehicle tracking system. In addition, DFM D records engine operating time in various operating modes. DFM D is used for monitoring the consumption of: diesel fuel; oil heating; other types of liquid fuel with a kinematic viscosity of 1.5 to 6 mm2 / s. DFM D fuel flow meters, which are equipped with a display, are used as a stand-alone (autonomous) solution for calculating fuel consumption, which does not require connection to a Web server. DFM D are more suitable for modern engines (common-rail or pump-injector fuel systems) of vehicles and stationary units.
The DFM D has two measuring chambers for supply and return fuel lines. The flowmeter measures the fuel consumption in each pipe and calculates the difference between supply and return and stores these values. The measured values are sent as digital messages to the telematics (monitoring) unit (for DFM with RS232, RS485 or CAN output). Equipped with a built-in battery in the absence of an external power source, for example in the case of no on-board network, DFM continues to record data in its internal memory. When external power is restored, all collected data is transferred to the on-board monitoring terminal. Replaceable fuel filter is installed as standard in the inlet of DFM D and protects the supply chambers from debris.
