We are pleased to announce the launch of Trafag's NHT 8250 pressure transmitter.
The new NHT 8250 combines a unique, hydrogen-compatible thin-film-on-steel sensor with the wide range of electrical connections and output signals of the NAT 8252 and NAH 8254, our proven mobile hydraulic pressure transmitters. The hydrogen-compatible sensor material of the NHT 8250 is an austenitic stainless steel alloy with nitrogen reinforcement for maximum performance. It offers better long-term stability than our competitors' solutions. Certification for EC79 (type approval of hydrogen-powered motor vehicles) and ECER-139 (hydrogen and components for liquid hydrogen-powered vehicles) is pending.
Trafag's Hydrogen Transmitter NHT 8250 now EC79 approved
Although the EC79 certification as per definition is only required for hydrogen powered vehicles, it has become an industry standard certification for many components and sub-systems for hydrogen duty. The deadline for new certifications of EC79 products ended in early July with the repealing of EC79. What will replace the EC79 in the future. This is not entirely clear yet.
