Mobeye CM-Guard-42 CM4042X
The Mobeye CM4042X is an alarm module with four potential-free inputs and two relay outputs. It provides a reliable solution for monitoring sensors and remotely controlling device switches. When an alarm or status change occurs, the CM4042X sends instant notifications to designated contacts via app, phone call, SMS or e-mail.
The CM4042X features four input channels, two relay outputs and a built-in 2G/4G communication module. Potential-free sensors and fault contacts can be connected to the inputs, while the outputs can be controlled remotely with SMS commands. Configuration options provide extensive flexibility, allowing users to customize the module to meet specific needs.
Potential-free Alarm Inputs
The Mobeye CM4042X is equipped with four NO/NC inputs for connecting alarm contacts and sensors. It can monitor the status of devices, external sensors, machines or sensor conditions. In addition to monitoring make/break contacts, the device interprets output signals from 0 to 48V as alarm events.
Relay outputs
The Mobeye CM4042X contains two bistable relay outputs that can control devices with a switching function of up to 30V/1A. These relays are managed via SMS commands, and the pulse duration can be set to automatically disable the relay. Users can also send individual SMS commands to enable or disable the relay.
External Voltage vs. Battery Power Supply
When powered externally (>10VDC), the communication module maintains a continuous connection to the mobile network, allowing remote relay control via SMS. The device can also operate efficiently on battery power, actively monitoring its inputs for extended periods.
Power Outage Alarm
When connected to an external power supply, the Mobeye CM4042X monitors the status of the power supply. In the event of a power failure, it sends notifications via push messages, voice calls, SMS and/or e-mail. The device can be powered by a regulated 12-24V DC source or a mains adapter. In the event of a power failure, the internal batteries seamlessly take over operation, and notifications are sent. Inputs and connected sensors continue to function, and a follow-up notification is sent once power is restored.
Alarm Forwarding and Enhanced Security
The Mobeye CM4042X sends alarm notifications via the Mobeye Messages App (iOS/Android), voice calls, text messages and/or emails. For push notifications, users can choose an escalation plan or group messages. In the escalation plan, recipients acknowledge the message to stop further notifications. If no recipient acknowledges, the system escalates to a phone call. The number of contacts is unlimited.
The Mobeye SIM card offers full functionality, including access to the Mobeye Internet Portal and app (€5 excl. VAT per month). This enables communication over the 4G LTE-M network with a 2G fallback.
Using a personal SIM card limits certain functionalities. With a personal SIM card, the device operates primarily on 2G. However, a compatible LTE-M SIM card with appropriate APN settings can activate 4G LTE-M functionality. Notifications with a personal SIM card can be sent to up to five phone numbers via SMS.
How it Works
IEX CM4042X
The Mobeye CM4042X monitors fault contacts or sensors and enables remote control of connected devices, pumps or motor switches.
- Connect your device's start/stop mechanism to the relay outputs.
- Connect potential-free contacts, such as sensors or fault contacts, to the inputs.
- Connect an external power source.
- Activate the connected device via an SMS command. You can configure a pulse duration for the output relay to turn it off automatically or use individual SMS commands to turn the relay "on" or "off.
- When an alarm is triggered, the CM4042X sends notifications to the designated contacts and can optionally switch the output.
Typical Applications for the Mobeye CM4042X The Mobeye CM4042X is ideal for:
- Monitoring of NO/NC contacts.
- Machine monitoring.
- Device Operation.
- Pump control.
