HEALTHY AIR IN SCHOOLS WITH CO2 MEASUREMENT

Proper ventilation is necessary for a pleasant and healthy indoor environment. Healthy air also helps reduce the transmission of respiratory infections, such as COVID-19. The CO2 level in a room is one of the most important indicators of whether the air is still clean enough, or whether ventilation is needed. RIVM and the government write that ventilation is important for health.* An example of this is the government's "Fresh Schools" program of several years ago. STOPLIGHT

The sensors are available with traffic light. A traffic light indicates very clearly; green means good air quality, orange means ventilate, red means leave the room temporarily and ensure good air exchange. The calculation of the value in ppm (parts per million) is done with a microprocessor. This processor ensures that the measurement is converted to the correct output signal. The sensors are also available with a display showing the CO2 content in ppm. Whereas a techie likes to see an exact value in ppm's, a precise value is often difficult for a non-techie to interpret, this can lead to misperception of air quality.

WALL MOUNTING

One of the sensors we supply is a "Plug-and-play" solution, which can be used now as an indication to ventilate, but later can also be easily integrated into the ventilation system. this makes the expenditure you make now not a waste of money, but an investment for the future.

Our advice is to always mount a CO2 sensor on the wall with fixed power supply whenever possible. A CO2 sensor is a sensitive sensor with a very accurate measuring element. The moment it is placed loose on a desk or cabinet, there is a risk of falling or soiling. This can cause the sensor to no longer work accurately. In addition, it is wise to leave a sensor in a fixed place (mounted) so that the automatic calibration works best. The fixed supply voltage eliminates the need to replace batteries, which adds to the cost and durability. The standard supply voltage is 24V AC/DC and can therefore be provided by a fixed transformer or by means of a plug-in transformer that is simply plugged into the wall socket.
