The conductive plate electrodes PEK-SPS4 "Hockeypuck" operate in a 4-wire system and are designed to alert in the presence of electrically conductive fluids, for example due to a leak or pipe burst. These electrodes are ideal for use on dry floors, mezzanines or under raised floors in data centers, for example.
The sensor contains two integrated electrode plates: a control electrode and a ground electrode. When a conductive liquid (such as water or an acid) makes contact between these two plates, the connected leak detector switches to an alarm state.
The system uses four wires: two for the power supply and two for a potential-free break contact.
Advantages
- No amplifier relay required;
- For conductive liquids;
- Also alarm on power failure and wire breakage.
Applications
- Data centers;
- Hospitals;
- Server rooms;
- Boiler houses;
- Switch boxes;
- And much more.
