Tip: Get rid of the limescale - Stiftung Warentest recommends:
Lime is an essential component of our drinking water. However, when the water droplets evaporate, it becomes noticeable in the bathroom and kitchen with nasty scale and can checkmate shower heads, steam irons and the coffee maker. So take precautions. Wipe fixtures and tiles, shower wall and sink dry immediately after use. A squeegee such as those used by window cleaners appears to be within reach. Remove visible calcium stains as soon as possible with a commercially available vinegar cleaner. Let it soak in stubborn cases. Regularly descale shower heads, aerators and kettles with diluted vinegar essence or a mild descaler of citric acid.
